The invention relates to a system and method for graphically displaying ontology data. The invention includes displaying assertions as concept-relationship-concept triplets. Furthermore, the invention includes displaying ontologies, or parts thereof, in clustered cone graphs, wherein each cluster within a clustered cone graph represents a group of concepts or relationships, which share a common quality.
